Well, since "Not Texas" wasn't a specific option...... KSU. Just to be different.

I think the rule should be that a team should have to win their conference to be eligible for national champion. In a playoff system, that rule doesn't apply, but with the stupid polls-based-on-people-who-don't-watch-all-the-games system, it just makes sense. The big 12 seems to get by on this pretty often (see Nebraska a few years ago, Oklahoma last year).

Which of course they didn't for years. It would also "share the wealth" of tourism dollars for the other schools as well.

Too bad the ACC went and picked a single location as well. I think playing it at different locales is a good idea, but a rotating system could still give someone an unfair, albeit lucky, homefield advantage (like Ga has in the Dome). However, it didn't seem to help the last year much did it?

Ok. Kansas over Vandy? Get real. That gives the SEC one less. I would also give it to OState over Ole Miss given certain fields, etc. GT could win one of 5 in that matchup too. Ergo, SEC and ACC are pretty even. Last year, ACC won against UT (CU), Carolina (CU), UF (FSU), Auburn(GT), Vandy (GT) for 5 wins. They lost against UT (Duke), UGa (CU), Carolina (UVa) for 4 losses. With Miami added they have one more good team. With V Tech added they have a decent team for the first 3 months, and if they interconference games aren't in November they might win some too. Next year I give it to the ACC.

Well, they've got a pretty good defense, led by Leroy Hill. The line isn't completely new, there is at least one senior on it. Wideouts are pretty talented, even without DH and Airese Curry. We need a good back, but the new kids look pretty good. Oh, and yes, we have Whitehurst, and nobody off our Oline was spectacular last year.

Yeah, Clemson is my emotional ACC winner. The rational one is the FSU/Miami winner. UF beat LSU last year, and UGa. I feel that they will probably lose at TN, but beat Auburn this year. Therefore they are my SEC winners. USC winning the Pac 10 is kinda like Russia winning the Olympic hockey gold in the 60s, or the Dream team winning basketball before last year. Not much competition. I think they will stumble though, and let one of the WSU/Oregon axis in. Michigan-well, I just don't like them. Couldn't bear to write them in. I really don't know enough about the Big 12 anymore, but Oklahoma will probably win it win at least one loss.

Recall that the ACC had the best bowl record last season, and with the new teams, will get better. PJ, the Big 10.5? It feels kinda weird telling a moderator that they're not correct. They just don't have the depth of the ACC, Big 12, and SEC. I've got them above the Pac 10 and Big East though. Ergo, ACC-Clemson SEC-UF Big 12-KSU Big 11-Iowa Pac 10-Cal Big East-WVU

FSU doesn't rule the ACC anymore. Too much parity. Just look at the loss to Clemson. Clemson probably won't win, but FSU definitely won't.

I don't know, I like the expansion. It adds another ACC football game, and makes slightly different basketball matchups (not that BC, VT, or Miami are any good). It might actually help the NC basketball teams to not beat each other up so much, and all 4 can have higher seeds in the tourney.

Didn't know that the basketball wasn't using the format, but I did know the division split back on the 17th when I posted it the first time. I was just thinking of better ways that it could be done without splitting up FSU and Miami. Still say Clemson will win their division, if it existed this year, which it doesn't.

If we get to make up our own, I want to throw in Good.............Not so Good Miami............V Tech FSU...............Wake Clemson........GTech Maryland.......BC NCState........Duke Virginia..........UNC And then they could change it every year based on the previous years records. I would prefer a North South, as that would help with travelling (Miami-BC is 1500 Miles). As it is, apparently Miami is trying to throw their weight around to keep from travelling to Clemson every year. Students there have told me that they want to have at least one "Home only" series to reduce travelling. I think it is because they are scared of Death Valley.

Nope. Division A Division B Maryland Miami Clemson Virginia NC State Virginia Tech Wake Georgia Tech FSU UNC Boston College Duke
IMO, it is stupid, because they want Miami and FSU to be in separate divisions, they screw up some of the basketball matchups.

Let's hope not. It would ruin the NCAA's credibility. Every other student who wishes to be part of the draft and then changes their mind are banned for a year, why would someone who wasn't even eligible to be drafted (per NFL and Supreme Court guidelines) be allowed back?
