I disagree, tigerbait. I think Boise is better than Fresno. Then again, I've really only seen Boise play, I've not seen Fresno.
And I think you're right, the MAC isn't overrated, because nobody's saying anything about them. If something isn't rated highly, it can't be overrated.

Man, what happened to the MAC? Last year, they were easily up there with the best of the mid-majors. Now...not so much.

Hmmm....tough choice for me between C-USA and the MWC.
I voted for the Mountain West simply because I think it's a much more solid conference top to bottom. But yeah, C-USA does have some potential powerhouses (for mid-majors, anyway).
However, I think this is our last year in C-USA for a reason. I think going on to the MWC is the right decision, reflected by what I think is the best mid-major.
Oh, and I'm surprised to see plenty of love for the MAC, which hasn't impressed me thus far, and none for the WAC, which with Fresno and Boise is making some major attacks on the big boys. Maybe it's sorta like my placement of the MWC as better than C-USA.

Interesting pick, Lobo Flyer. I don't think it'll happen, as Cincy has been pretty weak in recent years, but we shall see.

I might be being unrealistic here, but I don't care. I gotta vote for my Frogs.
My order: 1. TCU 2. Southern Miss 3. Louisville 4. Memphis
Memphis is overrated. I think they'll fall before too long.
Honestly, I think it's tough to tell this year. All four are really strong. I just think it's disappointing how badly Houston's done. Had they not lost to friggin' Rice I'd put them up there too.

And hell, Boise's only leading by seven a few minutes into the second.

TCU guy I dont think there is any doubt in anybodys mind that whoever wins the FSU-BSU game will win the WAC! No one else in the conference can even come close! Personally I think FSU will win it but it will be a HELLUVA game! Yes. Possibly the Mid-Major game of the year. The only other Mid-Major vs. Mid-Major game that could hope to come close will probably be this year's Liberty Bowl on New Years' Eve in Memphis. I mean, Utah vs. whoever wins C-USA (really a toss-up right now)? Should be a damn good game.

Dunno about your other predictions, but I do not think Fresno will win the WAC. Boise is just more impressive to me. I really think Boise will win the FSU-BSU game, and therefore win the WAC.

I used to like A&M. Really, I did. But I've always been a bigger UT fan. And besides, after what Coach Fran did to Alabama, leaving a team that he talked into sticking around despite the suspension (although I can't blame him for leaving TCU for Bama, especially since Coach Patterson has done amazing things since becoming head coach) for the Aggies...well, let's just say I was glad to see Utah beat them so badly.

1. SEC - LSU, UGA, Fla., Bama, Tenn., Ole Miss...top to bottom, the most solid conference. Except for the Big 12 (which is right around my home) and C-USA (only because it's TCU's conference), there's no conference I'd rather watch than the SEC.
2. ACC - Miami, FSU, Va. Tech, Maryland, UVA...another really solid conference. Also, consider: last bowl season, the ACC won every one of its games...except for Florida State losing to Miami...which is now an ACC school. Of course, I seem to remember that Va. Tech lost too...but whatever. I still think it's a very strong conference.
3. Big XII - Can't go wrong here. With Texas, OU, Kansas, Mizzou, K State, Kansas, OSU, Texas Tech and Nebraska, there's something for everyone here. Hell, some people even like watching A&M and Baylor. (And I may as well mention Iowa State and Colorado for good measure.)
4. Big Eleven - Another one I like to watch. I love to hate Ohio State, plus I really enjoy watching Michegan and Minnesota. The domination of a few teams at the top and the absolute suckitude of some of the lower teams hurts this one, though. (As does the inability to count any higher than 10.)
5. Pac-10 - This one's a lot like the Big 10: Dominated by a few strong ones, with some very weak teams struggling for everything else. Little balance top to bottom. I'm just not that interested in this conference.
6. Mountain West - one of the best mid-majors, easily. Utah is very strong, and the lack of a real whipping boy (well, maybe BYU or Wyoming) puts this one where I have it.
7. Conference USA - TCU, Louisville, Memphis and Southern Miss, all making plays at the big boys (along with the MWC's Utah and the WAC's Fresno State and Boise State) puts this one above the last remaining BCS conference.
8. "Big" East - Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Boston College are carrying this conference. I'm sorry, but that's not enough to qualify it as a major conference in my mind. It should get better next year after robbing C-USA (but losing BC), but this year I think it's weak and honestly doesn't deserve an automatic BCS bid.
9. WAC - Boise State and Fresno State carry this conference above the MAC, which I think was the strongest mid-major conference last year. Decent middle-of-the-pack teams like Hawaii help, but then bottom-dwellers like SMU hurt.
10. MAC - Nothing impressive yet. But it's still worlds ahead of the Sun Belt. Not a bad conference, but so far the one I'm the least interested in watching. Maybe Bowling Green or Miami (OH) or Marshall or someone will do something.
11. Sun Belt - Once somebody snatches up North Texas (my money's on the WAC extending an invite to preserve a Texas audience after losing Rice, SMU and UTEP to C-USA), this conference should drop back to I-AA.

As a TCU student, the Horned Frogs are my favorite team, but they're very disappointing this year, after losing three of our last four games. I just want three more wins (Houston, Cincy and Tulane are our best bets there) so that we'll at least be bowl eligible, which could mean we might be lucky to end up in the PlainsCapital Fort Worth Bowl. In our own stadium. Again.
Other teams I like: I think my current favorite is probably Minnesota, despite the tough loss to Michigan. I also like Florida State. And despite losing to them, I really like Texas Tech this year. And Tennessee. And whoever's playing USC in any given week.

Undefeated, yes, BCS...maybe. I think it depends on how the rest of the BCS ends up working out.
Will USC and Oklahoma meet in the Orange Bowl, or will we see someone that can actually give the Sooners a good game?

were you born a jack ass or did you just turn out that way? I was definitely born a jackass. Pretty sure of it. Who would win: TCU or Pitt? Both are pretty crappy this year.

Can it be a tie? Ok, OU only because I like them and hate USC. Who wins in two weeks in College Station: A&M/OU OU. Who wins the day after Thanksgiving, UT or A&M?
