Ski Team? Is Skiing NCAA-sanctioned? Did not know that. Interesting.
No, TCU doesn't have a ski team. Dude, we're in Northeast Texas. Most of us have seen snow five times in our entire lives at best.
And as for MWC basketball...do your research a little before you start smack-talking. Jesus Christ. True, we may still do badly, but saying the Mountain West is at the top of I-A in basketball is just plain moronic.

Every sport? Highly doubtful. Football, maybe, especially if we play as badly as we have this year. Basketball? I think not. You have to remember, the Conference USA we're leaving (not the one that will be left next year) is one of the top basketball conferences. Our women's team is consistently top two or three in the conference (with I think four or so NCAA tourney appearances in a row), and our men's team, although not really good yet, is improving and was lower middle-of-the-pack last year.

No, because if you played Miami you would lose. Nobody here is saying that if you were to play them that they would be the only team you could beat. If you play WVU you actually stand a chance. And don't start with this indirect "we beat UNC, who beat Miami" crap eiither because it doesn't work that way and you know it. Oh no, you're wrong. Absolutely wrong. Just like if TCU played Ohio State or Purdue, we'd beat them because we beat Northwestern who beat each of those teams. Of course, I'm just being sarcastic. Give me a break, UTE!

TT: I think we should win, after all did you see TT against tu? I think I'm going to be at that game. I've got a cousin who goes to TTU who happens to be celebrating her birthday that weekend, and another cousin at A&M whom I've been meaning to visit for the past three football seasons.

This is very true, both TCU and Baylor are private shcools so they both struggle in athletics Yes, that's always a problem. What I want to know is why we had such success back in the 30s (one outright NC, one disputed NC, several other very successful seasons). Is it because college football was just not as huge as it is now, so state schools didn't have as big an edge over the private universities? Or were we just a fluke? I think our biggest problem (other than our offensive coordinator, who has been showing his ineptitude all season) is our inability to recruit well. I blame this largely on being in such crappy conferences. The WAC and Conference USA are too far apart and simply not good enough to give us the kind of exposure we need. The Mountain West is much better, and may be the next up-and-coming conference in the college football landscape (or maybe that's just a pipe dream, whatever), but the fact remains that all of our conference road games are going to be too far away for students and most other fans to attend. Until TCU gets some sort of opportunity to get into a conference that's a good fit in terms of both quality and geography, I think we'll stay about where we are. And if we do get that chance...well, there's still no guarantee, but USC is a private school so I think we might have a shot (hell, USC was bad enough back in 1998 to lose to us in the Sun Bowl, and look at them now), but it depends largely upon money. Oh well, I'm still proud of how well the Frogs have done in recent seasons. We're the only mid-major team that's been ranked in the top 25 five out of the last seven seasons. Not too bad for a private school if you ask me. Oh, and I'm fully aware that Arkansas isn't leaving the SEC. It's still nice to dream, though, and I really do think they'd fit better in the Big XII.

Thats a good idea, it would make big 12 stronger but I am not sure how they would re-align divisions Either put Arkansas in the North, or put them in the South and put either OU or OSU in the North. Or Texas Tech. I'm partial to putting Arkansas in the North, myself. Any way you look at it, I just think the Big XII is a better fit for Arkansas than the SEC. As for us...who knows, for all I know if TCU replaced Baylor right now, we'd end up just as bad as they are.

Yea, you have to watch out for Baylor, they almost won a Big 12 game on Saturday. Of course, when you still lose to Iowa State its not good. Anyone else think Baylor and Iowa State should be tossed out of the Big XII in favor of bringing in TCU and Arkansas? No, it's just me? Yeah, I figured as much.

I dont see why we cant beat tu, they havent shown me anything impressive this eyar. Normally, I'm much more of a Texas fan than an A&M fan (although I have more friends and family at the latter school) and I really dislike Franchione (not for leaving TCU, but rather for the way he just abandoned Alabama, after convincing all those players to stick it out through the suspension), but Mack Brown has to go. Therefore, I'm rooting for Texas A&M (and Tech, and OSU, for that matter) to beat Texas. First time in my life I've been rooting AGAINST Texas.

I think A&M will finish either 7-4 or 8-3. They should be able to handle CU and Baylor. And then I think they pull an upset somewhere else. Can you say...Texas? Yeah, I know, probably not going to happen, but...you never know.

Utah = Fact
Peterson = Fiction
USC = Is there something even more fictional than fiction?

Tech's for real. TTU wins this one by a touchdown, at least.

Playoffs is ideal, but Tigerbait's system is a hell of a lot better than the BCS.
Tigerbait, didn't you say that your personal impression was at least a small part of your formula?
