Did you go to that TCU Houston game on Saturday, cuase i was there, might have even seen you but not have known it I'm in the band, so yeah, I was there. I was one of those crazy trombones doing the headchop move thing during the drum cadence (we call that suicide). I don't know if you noticed any of that or not.

First game jitters. It's funny when new people show up and talk all kinds of shyte about their team, and then disappear. Where is that Wyoming guy these days? Or the New Mexico guy. At least WyoCowpoke was decent to most people, even if his language occasionally offended one or two people. LoboFlyer just wanted trouble.

Very nice. I'll be quite interested to see how the top of your rankings compare to the BCS rankings released tomorrow.
I also feel SLIGHTLY better about our chances of winning three more games now. Houston this coming week is still going to be a challenge, as I still think they're a little better than rankings and records show.
I also think Texas Tech is better than the polls and their record show. I think they're probably going to go on to dominate everyone left on their schedule, except probably Texas.

Hm. We're really 51? Only four places behind Nebraska? I find that somewhat hard to believe. We suck this year.
There's nobody else I'd want to see that I can't wait until later.
Actually, I'd like to see our remaining opponents (Houston, Cincy, Louisville, Southern Miss, Tulane) to have an idea of our chances of winning three more games (and therefore being bowl eligible), as well as SMU just for the hell of it (crosstown rivals and all).

ME a moron lol. why dont you use that computer in front of you and look up jeff sargain/ wolfe etc.you know nothing about bcs formula and talk trash.sos and ranked opp are used in most computer rankings All I know is his rankings look a hell of a lot more right than the BCS rankings. Oh, and I'll not argue Miami's SoS vs. Auburn's, but saying victories LSU and Tennessee are not quality wins is just ignorant. Or purposely confrontational, one of the two.

After this week, here's what I think the top 5 should be:
1. Oklahoma - Still very impressive against everyone they've faced so far, although their margins of victory are getting smaller every week it seems. 2. Auburn - At the top of the toughest league in I-A. 3. USC - I'm starting to think they're not QUITE as overrated as everyone (including me) has been saying. They still definitely don't deserve No. 1, and I think No. 3 is still being generous. 4. Miami - Nearly losing to Louisville drops them just below Auburn and USC now. 5. Wisconsin - Yes, they're at the top of the Big 11. Yes, they beat Purdue. But they've got a ways to go before I'll agree they're better than the four teams listed above.
Kinda nice how there's a solid top 5 now, and a solid leader in each of the five major conferences. But if you'd told me two months ago that Wisconsin would be winning the Big 11 and Auburn would be at the top of the SEC, I'd have laughed in your face. Interesting how things have worked out now.

For the first time in my life, I'll be rooting for A&M to beat Texas the day after Thanksgiving. I like Texas more than A&M, but I hate Mack Brown a little more than I hate Dennis Franchione right now.
Vote Mack Brown out of office in '04!

USC is the best team in the country. OU prolly deserves the #1 ranking for beatin UT, but USC will beat anyteam in the country and i'll bet money on that. I'll take that bet.

Hahaha, nice. Well, like I say, I really hope we can improve that margin with our coming games. They'll be tough, though.
Thanks for the PM heads up, btw.

Rah rah TCU.
Good to see we're back in your top 40, tigerbait, especially since I know it's largely determined by objective, numbers-only factors. Not that I think we really deserve to be there. Maybe if the Army win proves to be the start of an upswing that a lot of folks around here are saying it is, then we might deserve to creep back in later in the season.
But, whether we deserve it or not, nice to know that under some ranking system we're not one of the worst teams in the nation.

Seriously, this love affair with Ohio State needs to stop. They suck this year. Put someone else in their place.
