Some fans spend their time supporting their team...I spend my time supporting my team. I used to Hate Carolina but because they suck now I don't. As long as you Hate Duke it means they are good. No one hates a loser. EVERYONE hates a winner. P.S. The Brand email was proven a Hoax but if it makes you feel better so be it. Name a team that doesn't have jerk fans... (If any of you name YOUR team then I rest me case...Jerk! Just kidding. Beside Duke is going to have a down year so that just means you teams have a better chance....Or do they??? Roy Williams = 0 Rings, 0 Gold Medals, A Sh!tload of meaningless wins. Well, I hate Duke football, and they're not winners. I also hate France, and they haven't won a thing since Napoleon. BTW, if the Brand letter was proven a hoax, I'm sorry i referenced it. Also, my problem is not with all Duke fans, it is with the fans of the mold I mentioned, I actully have a number of friends who are huge Duke fans, and they are good people. All schools have some jerk fans, I just believe at Duke those few fans (usually students and young alumni) control the atmosphere like they do at few other schools.

Let me change that.
The players that have the same attitude about Duke as the students do, everyone hates. Mike Dunleavy, Christian Laetner, and J.J. Redick are likely the best examples.
Elton Brand hates the same stuff about Duke I do. He said so in a e-mail to a Duke student after a Duke student chastised him for leaving Durham early.

Its not the sport, or the team that people hate the most about Duke. It is the fans (especially the students). The overriding attitude at Duke University is one of superiority and snobbishness. That is why everyone in the ACC hates them and the media that feeds the attitude.

[ Maryland fans are pretty effing bad! No doubt about it. Ok, you have to explain that. Also, compared to who?? Clemson fans, in general, are definately the best people. But if we're talking ACC schools, UMD fans are better people than UVA, Duke, Miami, and UNC fans, easliy. Lets not even get started on WVU fans and the schools like that. If we're talking commitment Maryland belongs right up there with the best fans in the country. If we're talking knowledge, than Maryland fans are not nearly as knowledgeable as Kentucky fans, for example. But much more knowledgeable than most schools, especially Duke and UVA.

Yeah, thats true.
The ACC has the 3 best PG's in the nation (no disrespect to John Lucas) and 6 of the other best players in the nation. (Chris Paul, John Gilchrist, Raymond Felton the top PGs and Julius Hodge, Shawn May, Rashad McCants, Jarret Jack, Sheldon Williams, and Justin Gray the others)

You gotta give your first looks to the ACC (UNC, Wake, Georgia Tech, and Maryland) and then to Mississippi State

Best Middle Linebacker, easily.
Best Linebacker and defensive player is Lawrence Taylor.
(Though it is nice to hear a Maryland grad get respect.)

yeah, he did make the practice squad.
Which is very similar to making the 53 man roster. A practice squad player can be activated in any given week, if the team needs their services due to injury, for example.
All practice players are waived for about a day even though the coaches will tell them they are still on the team.
There was another article that was in a Milwalkee paper that i couldn't locate earlier that said that McBrien was ahead of Couch according to the Packers QB coach and O-Coordinator.

I want to point out, that Couch was cut because the Packers felt that Scott McBrien, the undrafted freeagent QB out of Maryland was a better QB, already. I was really pumped for my man Scott. www.packers.com/news/stories/2004/09/03/1/
