I'm sure this will be the battle for the commander-in-chiefs trophy.
Navy is undefeated but has played a semi-weak schedule (Duke, Vandy, at Tulsa, and Northwestern) though I think Duke, Vandy, and NW are better than they get credit for.
Air Force is 2-2 with a big loss to Cal (who they were actually hanging with until a bad call gave Cal the lead and the momentum) and a decent loss at Utah. They won at UNLV and beat Eastern Washington at home.

Id look it up but it would take too long, Im sure that OU could claim some extra titles as well though By the way, how many of those are REAL titles I'm sure you'll have a problem with this (I would myself if we actually tried to claim them.) But I'm claiming 1950 (10-0) 1953 (10-1) Thats our actual NC (AP & UPI) 1955 (10-1) Thats Oklahoma's but hey, why not? oh yeah, and... 1893 (6-0) (Look at the competition from that year and you'll laugh. We beat Eastern High School (DC), Central High School (DC), Baltimore City College, St John's College (MD), Orient AC (DC))

20-15 Wyoming at halftime.
Ole Miss is not a good team this year, but they should be able to take care of Wyoming.

Pitt tied it up and sent it to OT.
Pitt got the ball first and kicked a field goal.
38-41 Pitt in OT.

Uh... well there is no National Championship in 1-A college football. LSU won the Sugar Bowl, and thus the BCS championship. If you want to consider the BCS title to be equivalent to a national championship, fine, but don't throw a fit when not everyone agrees with that sentiment. Well, the BCS is the method for determining a national champion that 6 major conferences and Notre Dame decided upon a few years ago. Now that USC found another way to crown themselves the NC they want to pretend that they didn't agree to the championship method. They knew what they needed to do to win the NC, and they didn't do it, they had an easy schedule and lost to Cal. LSU had a difficult schedule and ended w/ a better record than USC. The BCS then dtermined they were the Champs, the way the PAC 10 agreed to it a few years back.

West Virginia - for some of their fans being proud of their actions like attacking their own QB, throwing trashcans, whiskey bottles, and batteries at opposing teams.
UVA and Duke - not all alums or fans, but their students. I hate their students.
I agree about USC, though a lot of teams are willling to take credit for something they didn't earn if some people are willing to give it to them, i don't hold it against USC.

Did this week show us how big home field advantage really is early in the season?
WVU at home beat Maryland A&M beat Clemson Auburn beat LSU Tennessee beat Florida Arizona State beat Iowa UNC beat Georgia Texh BC beat UConn Iowa State beat Northern Illinois Kentucky beat Indiana Texas Tech beat TCU Syracuse beat Cincinatti Oregon State beat New Mexico New Mexico State beat Troy Rice beat Hawaii
The only games were a decent team lost at home this week were:
Wisconsin at Arizona Ohio State at NCState UCLA at Washington Minnesota at Colorado State
all of those teams were favored.
It's interesting data.

The SEC and the ACC are pretty close right now. I am not sure which is better. I put the ACC #1 so that I wouldn't seem biased. See, if you actually think your team or conference is decent, everyone screams "bias." I think the SEC has proven itself early off that it is number 1. And you shouldn't have to not put that in fear of people claiming bias. But good rankings.

I would not say the rest are all "creampuffs" Pitt is in the Big East, did you think they were "creampuffs"? I'd put Pitt in that category. The only difference between them and Syracuse this year is that Syracuse has a real home field advantage, Pitt doesn't. I'd say Pitt is likely the 4th or 5th team in the Big East this year 1. WVU 2. BC 3. UConn 4. Pitt 5. Cuse 6. Temple 7. Rutgers

He's got my vote.
I think I'm rooting for TCU now just because he's so annoying.

It was a great game.
Statham played horribly in the first half, and very bad in the second. Offensively line played decent, but not great. Running backs were good, and recievers really didn't get a bunch of chances other than a great play made by Derrick Fenner. Maryland's defense was very good, other than a couple runs by KayJay Harris.
Rasheed Marshall was poor through the air, but was impressive on his feet until Maryand changed its scheme and allowed the LB's to make plays against Marshall. KayJay Harris was impressive, but the rest of WVU's offense was not. They should've been able to do more with 5 turnovers with an extremely loud stadium.
